Rotoflow to Offer Magnetic Bearing Service Through its Dharan Solutions Center
Lehigh Valley, PA (April 13, 2023) – Rotoflow, an Air Products business (NYSE: APD) today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (“MoU”) with SKF S2M to expand the services available to turbomachinery customers through Rotoflow’s Dharan Solutions Center in Saudi Arabia.
“This partnership leverages the combination of Rotoflow’s time-tested turbomachinery in concert with S2M magnetic bearing technology to broaden our service offerings and provide added value to our many customers,” said Phil Schuepbach, Rotoflow Manager of Business Development, during a recent signing ceremony.
The Rotoflow Dharan Solutions Center (DSC), which opened in February 2021, is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic, testing, balancing, and machining equipment to diagnose sources of performance deviations, and provide technology-driven solutions that improve and optimize rotating equipment process impact and reliability. The facility also houses materials characterization Technology Labs to support materials testing and failure analysis.
Through the MOU agreement, SKF will provide Rotoflow’s DSC with proprietary servicing and diagnostics equipment, including control cabinets, critical spare parts and specialist tools for its magnetic bearing technology. The addition of these diagnostic capabilities with SKF magnetic bearings will help Rotoflow further support regional customers to help keep their plants operating with industry-leading reliability. Through this partnership the DSC is now the only rotating equipment original equipment manufacturing facility to provide in-house magnetic bearing services in the Middle East region.

In addition, the Solutions Center provides state-of-the-art technology solutions for turboexpanders, centrifugal compressors, reciprocating compressors, cryogenic pumps, small steam turbines, gearboxes, fans and blowers.
